Terms of Use

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Apps4Households, a sole proprietorship and the operator of Vylo ("Vylo," "we," "our," or "us").

They govern your use of our web and mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Services.

You represent that all information you submit is accurate and complete.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to:

• keep your account information current;
• promptly notify us of unauthorized account activity; and
• use reasonable security practices on your own devices.

We may require additional verification steps, including multi-factor authentication.

4. Household Access and Authorized Users

If you invite household members to your account, they may be able to view and update shared financial information according to the permissions we provide.

You are responsible for ensuring you trust anyone you invite and understand the visibility that accompanies shared access.

5. Financial Data Connections

Our Services may allow you to connect financial accounts through third-party providers (including Plaid).

By connecting accounts, you authorize us and our service providers to retrieve and process your account and transaction data to provide the Services.

We do not receive or store your bank login credentials directly when you connect accounts through Plaid Link.

6. Third-Party Financial Data Providers

Vylo relies on third-party providers, including Plaid, to access financial account data.

By connecting an external account, you acknowledge and agree that:

• data access is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable financial institution and Plaid;
• Apps4Households does not control the availability or accuracy of third-party data; and
• temporary interruptions, delays, or inaccuracies in financial data may occur.

7. Permitted Use

You may use the Services only for your personal, non-commercial use unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

You agree not to:

• violate any applicable law;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
• interfere with or disrupt the Services;
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where prohibited by law;
• scrape or harvest data from the Services at scale; or
• use the Services to build competing products through automated extraction.

8. No Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice

The Services are informational tools to help organize and understand financial data.

Vylo is not a bank, broker, lender, credit bureau, or investment adviser.

Nothing in the Services constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.

You are responsible for your own decisions and should consult qualified professionals where needed.

9. Service Changes and Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Fees and Billing

If we offer paid features, we will present pricing and billing terms before purchase.

Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, pose security or legal risk, or where required to protect users or the Services.

Certain provisions survive termination.

12. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, branding, and content (excluding your submitted data), are owned by Apps4Households or its licensors and protected by law.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Services under these Terms.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPS4HOUSEHOLDS AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

• (A) USD $100, OR
• (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Apps4Households and its affiliates from claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use after updates become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
